GROUP PROGRAM
  Blue Mountains Group has a varied program. Unless otherwise advised all meetings and activities are held in the Information Centre, Glenbrook Native Plants Reserve, Great Western Highway, Glenbrook.


Activities are definite except where indicated otherwise.


Saturday 5 January Trip to Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens. Leader: Alix Goodwin

  If you would like to car pool, please meet at the Glenbrook Native Plant Reserve at 9.00am. Otherwise we will see you at around 10.15am at the entrance to the Gardens. Please bring all the usual gear - morning tea, lunch, water, sunscreen, hat, camera and binoculars. It may well be cooler up there than down here on the day and there is the restaurant if you prefer, but it is often crowded.

Saturday 2 February 2019 10am Annual General Meeting

  The AGM will be followed by a Big Morning Tea (bring a plate) and get-together. Please join us for a natter and a walk in the Reserve.

Sunday 9 February 10 am Committee Meeting

  All members welcome

Sunday 3 March 9 am - noon Clean-up Australia Day

  Meet and register at the entrance to the Reserve

Saturday 30 March 9 am - noon Working Bee at the Reserve followed by a BBQ Llunch

  Please help if you possibly can.

Friday 5 April 8 pm Meeting at the Reserve

  Professor David Tissue from the Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment, WSU will speak on the impact of climate change on Australian native vegetation

Saturday 27 April 9 am - noon Working Bee at the Reserve followed by a BBQ Llunch

    - 12:30-13:00 NSW AGM Blaxland Hall     - 13:00 Speaker Greg Bourke on carnivorous plants     - Sale of carnivorous plants and afternoon tea

Sunday 2 June Trip to Mt. Annan Botanical Garden

  A community bus will be booked.

Sunday 7 July 2017 Garden visits at Lapstone

  Meet at Dick Turner's at 9 am
or (subject to interest): Introduction to Native Plant ID with Margaret Baker

Weekend 2-4 August Weekend Away

This will be in the Southern Highlands and is now fully booked.

Sunday 13 October Propagation Workshopand Garden Visit

  This will be at Jan Cave's place. Jan propagates many plants for the nuersery.

  10 am A walk to view wildflowers

Saturday 9 November Glenbrook Fair Stall
